OSF Flavors Introduces Swicy Flavors in Natural Forms

Food Business News recently featured OSF Flavors’ new natural swicy flavor powders. Available in soy BBQ and corn profiles, these additions give product developers ready-to-use options for introducing balanced sweetness, heat, and savory character into a range of food applications.

The swicy trend brings together sweet and spicy flavors, creating opportunities for manufacturers to explore more distinctive savory products. OSF Flavors’ latest launches translate that direction into natural powder formats intended for seasoning blends, extruded snacks, coatings, sauces, and prepared foods.

In this article, originally published by Food Business News, OSF introduces two complementary profiles:

  • Swicy Soy Barbecue 2101E: Combines caramelized barbecue sweetness with fermented soy depth and a chili finish.
  • Swicy Corn 2102E: Pairs roasted corn sweetness with warm heat.

The emphasis is on flavor layering: each profile offers a different foundation for balancing sweetness and heat, giving developers options beyond a simple hot-and-sweet combination. Food Business News

OSF Flavors introduces ‘swicy’ flavors in natural forms

OSF Flavors has debuted natural versions of its “swicy” flavors.

Swicy soy BBQ and swicy corn are now available in what the company said is a natural powder form intended for seasoning blends, extruded snacks, coatings, sauces and prepared foods.

OSF Flavors said swicy soy barbecue 2101E combines the caramelized sweetness of barbecue with the fermented depth of soy and a chili finish.

Swicy corn 2102E pairs the sweetness of roasted corn with warm heat.

“Swicy is no longer a niche play,” said Pierre Battu, managing director, Asia, at OSF Flavors. “It is one of the defining flavor directions of 2026, and our customers need references that go beyond a one-dimensional hot and sweet formula. With these new flavors, we are giving product developers two ready-to -use natural tools that bring genuine layering: fermented savory depth on one side, roasted sweetness on the other, each carried by a clean, well-balanced heat.”
